Tessellation Patterns

Tessellation patterns tile a surface with repeating shapes: bricks, hexagons, triangles, diamonds, checkerboards, woven rectangles. The repetition keeps them buildable, since many panels share the same few shapes, while small changes across the grid give the façade its character. In Grasshopper, most of these start by dividing the surface into a grid, then use list and tree operations to pick every other cell, shift rows or alternate directions. The free scripts below show those techniques one by one, so you can reuse them to build tile, brick and panel patterns of your own.
