Gradient Patterns

Gradient patterns change gradually from one side of a surface to the other: bricks that narrow, scales that open, triangles that dissolve, louvers that thin out. They are the classic way to move a façade from solid to open, or to shade one part of a building more than another. In Grasshopper, a gradient is a list of values from 0 to 1, usually shaped with a Graph Mapper and remapped to a size, an angle or an offset. The free scripts below show different ways to build that list and apply it, from simple linear fades to gradients driven by curves and images.
